How to spot one

Look for

  • The first generation has the profile of a raised station wagon.2
  • Second generation: triangular folds sculpt the body sides around the wheel arches.116
  • Second generation: floating-roof rear pillars and lion-claw rear light graphics.12
  • Early second-generation cars pair fang-shaped LED running lights with a black rear light bar.19
  • Early e-2008: body-color grille, different badges and no exhaust pipes.9

Year by year

  1. 2016

A more upright grille gains a centered badge; wheel-arch extensions and three-claw LED taillights mark the facelift.6

  2. 2019

The second generation brings triangular body-side creases, fang-like running lights and a black rear light bar.1916

  3. 2019 (Brazil)

Brazil's first generation gets its own facelift, moving the styling closer to the 3008 II.16

  4. 2023 model year (Brazil)

A two-tone option contrasts the roof, mirrors and part of the tailgate on the first generation.16

  5. 2023 facelift (front)

A wider nose carries the new Peugeot emblem; three vertical LED claws sit in glossy black bumper inserts.10

  6. 2023 facelift (rear)

The three-claw LED taillights are revised, and electric models gain a Dichroic Blue E badge.10

Don’t confuse it with

  • Renault Captur

The 2019-generation Captur has swooping taillights reaching onto the tailgate; the 2008 uses lion-claw graphics.12

  • Peugeot 3008

The second-generation 2008 is the smaller lookalike; look for triangular body-side creases around its wheel arches.1916
