The 3008 began by mixing hatchback, MPV and SUV ideas. Peugeot recast it as an EMP2-based SUV in 2016 to chase premium buyers; the third generation introduced electric power.3456

    Peugeot assigns Gaëtan Desmoulins to the next 3008. P64 development begins with an electric-SUV brief, and the team chooses a fastback silhouette.9

Look for

  • Mk1: tall, rounded bodywork, a huge grille and a two-piece tailgate.16
  • Mk2: an upright nose, a long horizontal hood and large wheels.11
  • Mk2: a glossy black strip connects rear lamps marked by three LED claws.11
  • Mk3: a fastback roof, floating rear spoiler and three-claw front lighting.49

  1. 2013 (Mk1 facelift)

    LED daytime-running strips, headlights flowing into the hood edges and a squared-off grille identify the facelift.16

  2. 2016–2017 (Mk2)

    The new SUV body brings a bluff nose, a large grille and three-element rear lamps.45

  3. 2020–2021 (Mk2 facelift)

    Grille elements extend under the headlights, LED fangs reach into the bumper, and full-LED rear lamps gain a smoked finish.10111319

  4. August 2022 (Mk2)

    Parts shortages brought pre-facelift rear lamps back to Allure, Active and Active Pack, so taillights alone can misdate a car.11
