The story

The 2014 Freelander replacement opened a family-focused Discovery sub-brand. A new multi-link rear axle helped fit 5+2 seats into the footprint of a 5-seat premium SUV.13

    Revealed on September 3, the Freelander replacement opens the new Discovery family with 5+2 seating in a compact SUV footprint.13

    2.0 L Ingenium diesels replace the 2.2 L SD4, add a 5-seat option and claim as low as 4.9 L/100 km; front-drive eD4 follows late in 2015.45
