    The seven-seat MPV arrives

    Unveiled in July and on sale in November, the original 5008 gives families a second row that folds flat and a third row that hides beneath the floor.35

    What Car? crowns the MPV

    The first-generation 5008 takes What Car?'s MPV of the Year award.3

    First facelift for the MPV

    October's facelift brings the original 5008 a new grille, redesigned headlights and revised fog lights.36

    Reborn as a seven-seat SUV

    To meet rising SUV demand, the second generation switches to EMP2 while retaining seven seats.17

    Eight speeds for the 178-hp diesel

    From February, the second-generation 2.0-liter diesel trades its six-speed automatic for an eight-speed gearbox.8

    The second-generation Hybrid pairs a 134-hp 1.2-liter with an electrified dual-clutch gearbox and can drive briefly on electricity alone.710

    The launch EV has 73 kWh; a 98-kWh, 660-km Long Range is announced. DC charging peaks at 160 kW, with 20–80% taking 30 minutes.2

How to spot one

Look for

  • Original generation: a five-door MPV profile; from 2017 the 5008 becomes an SUV.3
  • Second generation: a steep windshield and raised body, with C-pillars that visually disappear.7
  • Second-generation SUV: a chrome roof arch runs down to the bottom of the rear window.3
  • Third generation: geometric 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.23

  1. 2010 MPV

    Exclusive offers a transparent head-up panel at the windshield; the later SUV switches to digital instruments.5811

  2. October 2013 facelift

    Revised grille and badge recess, redesigned headlights and fog lights, and a new 17-inch wheel design.36

  3. 2017 SUV

    The body changes from MPV to SUV, and a small steering wheel sits below a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen.37

  4. September 2020 facelift

    The grille reaches beneath the headlights; LED fangs and LED rear lamps appear, with 5008 lettering on the hood.910

  5. August 2022

    Allure, Active and Active Pack return to pre-facelift rear lamps as shortages interrupt supply.10

  6. 2024 generation

    Three-claw lights and a body-color grille arrive; instruments and infotainment merge into a curved 21-inch panoramic screen.23
