The story

Built for young drivers wanting a sportier crossover, the Coolray began as China's Binyue in 2018. Geely's first BMA SUV reached 1 million global sales across more than 50 countries by January 2025.^1,2

SX11 becomes Binyue
Developed as SX11, Binyue is revealed in August as Geely's first BMA crossover; overseas markets later know it as Coolray.³

BMA's first plug-in hybrid SUV
Binyue PHEV goes on sale May 28 with 254 hp combined, 415 Nm and 62 km of electric range; its claimed 0–100 km/h time is 6.9 seconds.^3,4

Binyue Pro gets its facelift
After the Pro's China debut the previous year, a facelift brings a honeycomb grille and grows the infotainment screen from 10.25 to 12.3 inches.⁵

Philippine facelift, then Binyue L
The Philippines gets the NordThor four-cylinder facelift; November's Binyue L refresh adds Flyme Auto and a 14.6-inch touchscreen.^3,6,7

1 million sales in over 50 countries
By January 13, Coolray reaches 1 million global sales and more than 50 countries, becoming Geely's most-exported and most widely distributed model.¹

Super Edition refreshes the budget end
October's Binyue Super Edition facelift retains a 124 hp, 152 Nm naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four, with a 5-speed manual or CVT.⁸
