Replacing C/K pickups for 1999, the Sierra 1500 shared its GMT800 platform with Chevrolet's Silverado. For 2019, it offered six-position MultiPro and CarbonPro, the first carbon-fiber bed in a mass-produced pickup.1234

Look for

  • 1999: large composite headlamps and GMC-specific hood, front fenders, grille and bumpers.12
  • 2007: square-jawed front end, prominent grille and a wide hood.19
  • 2014 SLT: projector headlights, chrome below the side windows and black fender-flare edging.13
  • 2019: a big, blocky grille deliberately styled for a heavy-duty look.1
  • Equipped 2019 trucks have a MultiPro tailgate with a smaller opening panel inside the main gate.1
