  2. 2017

    Spring-loaded aero meets active diffuser

Superfast's passive front flaps open against calibrated springs; three active rear diffuser flaps rotate 14 degrees to stall the diffuser and cut drag.58

  3. 2018

2.7 seconds to 60 mph in testing

  4. 2019

    GTS revives the series-production spider

Ferrari's series-production front-V12 convertible returns after 50 years. The GTS hardtop folds in 14 seconds and operates at up to 45 km/h.3

  5. 2020

    Omologata reworks the Superfast

The Omologata one-off keeps the 812 Superfast's windshield and headlights while replacing the rest of its bodywork.36

  6. 2021

    Competizione: 9,500 rpm, 819 hp

    Allocation: 999 coupes and 599 targa-top Competizione A cars. The coupe's estimates: 0–60 mph in 2.6 seconds and a 341 km/h top speed.3910

  7. 2022

SP51 loses the GTS roof for good

  8. 2023

Design sketches bring over $5 million

A yellow Tailor Made 812 Competizione turns sketch-paper colors and Nero DS Sketch accents into a design tribute, then sells for charity.12

  9. 2024

    Production ends; 12Cilindri takes over

    The 812 family's 2017–2024 production run closes, with the 12Cilindri succeeding the 812 Superfast.3

How to spot one

Look for

  • Fastback roofline and a high, spoiler-topped tail.8
  • Four round rear lamps give the tail a wide, horizontal look.8
  • Sculpted side vents sit just behind the front wheels.8
  • Full-LED headlights blend into the hood's sculpted air intakes.8
  • Rear diffuser contains a suspended splitter, giving it a two-level wing shape.8

Year by year

  1. 2020–2024: GTS

The GTS brings a retractable hardtop and large rear buttresses around the folded-roof storage cover.315

Don’t confuse it with

  • F12tdf

View the tail in profile: the raised spoiler lacks the F12tdf's extra rearward extension.8

Against its rivals

  • Aston Martin DBS Superleggera
