How to spot one

Look for

  • Base GTB: smooth hood without deep creases or giant air channels.5
  • GTB: teardrop headlights incorporate brake-cooling ducts.5
  • GTB: vertical rear window and flat rear deck echo the 250 LM.5
  • GTB: sculpted glass forms transparent buttresses around the engine bay.5
  • GTB: black strip linking the two taillights doubles as the active rear spoiler.5

Year by year

  1. 2025 reveal: 296 Speciale

Coupe gains a hood outlet near the rear edge and Gamma winglets above the rear hips.29

  2. 2025 reveal: 296 Speciale A

Open-top derivative adds a front hood aero damper and vertical rear-bumper fins with side wings.10

  3. 2026: 296 GT3 Evo

Race-car update brings twin hood air intakes and revised rear-wing supports and endplates.216

Don’t confuse it with

  • Ferrari F8

Check for the F8's four taillights and louvered clear engine cover; the 296 GTB uses two lights and a black spoiler strip.521
