How to spot one

Look for

  • The original Uno is tall and square, with an almost vertical tail.14
  • Brazilian original: a single windshield wiper.2
  • Original Uno doors wrap into the roof, leaving no visible rain gutters.1
  • Brazilian original: a wrapover hood and a fuel cap on the left.24
  • The 2010-generation Uno keeps a boxy outline but rounds off the corners.10

Year by year

  1. 1989 (Europe)

Restyled nose and tailgate; inside, a new dashboard swaps the switch pods for conventional column stalks.4

  2. 1991 (Brazil)

Versions above 1.0 get narrower headlights and grille; Mille keeps the earlier front.2

  3. 1994 (Mille ELX)

ELX adopts the lower nose already fitted to the rest of the Uno range.15

  4. 2011 (Novo Uno)

    2-door bodies join the original 4-door range.6

  5. 2015 (Novo Uno)

Smaller, rounder headlights and new rear-lamp lenses; the tail-lamp outlines stay the same.12

  6. 2017 (Novo Uno)

New grille and front bumper; Way and Sporting gain new alloy-wheel designs, and Sporting gets new stripes.613

Don’t confuse it with

  • Innocenti Mille

Brazilian-built Uno sold under an Innocenti name; the wrapover hood and left-side fuel cap identify its Brazilian body.4

  • Innocenti Mille Clip

The Mille Clip name identifies a Polish-built Uno sold in Italy until 1997.4
