Eclipse 為北美跑車市場而生，歷經四個世代，從 1990 年一路生產到 2012 年。Chrysler 與 Mitsubishi 合作成立 Diamond-Star Motors，讓前兩代 Eclipse 與 Eagle Talon 共用基礎，第一代也有 Plymouth Laser 這款兄弟車。3
