The story

Ford filled the gap between Fiesta van and Transit Connect with the Transit Courier; Tourneo names its passenger sibling. ADAC's 2025 test measured a 565-liter Tourneo trunk, just 10 liters short of a VW Passat.123

    Geneva reveals the smallest Transit

    The Fiesta-based Transit Courier appeared at the Geneva Motor Show, taking its place as the smallest member of the Transit range.1

  2. 2014

    June launch; four stars for Tourneo

    The Transit Courier launched in Germany in June. The five-seat Tourneo Courier earned four Euro NCAP stars, with 84% adult and child protection.145

  3. 2018

    Euro 6.2 engines get six speeds

    The facelift brought Euro 6.2 engines, six-speed manuals replacing five-speeds, and a Limited trim with a 6-inch SYNC 3 screen.67

  4. 2023

    Ford Otosan moves production to Craiova

    Ford Otosan developed the new Transit and Tourneo Courier, moving production from Yeniköy to its Craiova plant in Romania.8

    Tourneo grows 18 cm; three NCAP stars

    The new Tourneo Courier gained 18 cm, reaching 4.34 m. Euro NCAP gave it three stars, 62% adult protection and a poor rear-passenger head result.191011

  6. 2025

    E-Transit: 43 kWh, up to 299 km

    The E-Transit Courier launched with a 43 kWh pack and up to 299 km claimed range. DC charging was rated at 100 kW; 10–80% was quoted at 23 minutes.1213

  7. 2025

    UK E-Tourneo deliveries begin

    UK deliveries began late in the year: 43 kWh, up to 285 km claimed range, 100 kW DC charging and 750 kg braked towing. Eco mode capped speed near 105 km/h.14

  8. 2026

    Electric Couriers grow to 46 kWh

    Both EVs grew from 43 to 46 kWh; claimed WLTP range reached 320 km (E-Tourneo) or 334 km (E-Transit with 120 km/h limiter). 10–80% charging claimed under 30 min.15

  • First-gen cars pair swept-back, Fiesta-like headlights with a big trapezoidal grille.124
  • First-gen bodies have high-mounted lights and protective strips along the sides.124

    Grille and bumper change; the revised center console brings 6-inch SYNC 3, standard in the new Limited trim.67

  2. 2024 second generation

    The Tourneo grows 18 cm longer and adopts an SUV-style silhouette, upright nose and wide grille.926

  3. 2025 electric launch

    E-Transit adds a grille light bar and 12-inch screen versus 8-inch in combustion vans; E-Tourneo has fewer buttons and a new screen layout.1214
