Conceived as a BMW 3 Series rival, the G70 was the first model developed as a Genesis from the outset. It used a shortened Kia Stinger platform, with a six-speed manual for North American 2.0T RWD buyers.345

    The G70 launched on September 15, 2017, joining the G80 and G90 to complete Genesis's sedan lineup.56

  • Early cars pair a crest-shaped grille with linear LED daytime-running lights.2
  • Facelift cars wear a low crest grille and split, two-line lamps.59
  • Sedans have a long hood, short front overhang and a hockey stick outline around the side windows.6
  • Facelift sedans have Genesis trunk lettering, twin exhaust outlets and a body-color diffuser.9
  • Shooting Brakes have a single-piece glass hatch, an integral spoiler and rear lamps reaching onto the hatch.11
