為接替356而生的911，車身更大、乘坐更舒適，最初由Ferdinand Alexander Porsche操刀設計；此後，Anatole Lapine、Harm Lagaay與Michael Mauer接棒，持續雕琢它的樣貌。125

    為賽事認證而生的鴨尾特仕車

    Carrera RS 2.7 於十月5日在Paris亮相。Porsche原本規劃打造500輛以取得賽事認證，最終產量卻達到1,580輛。3

    930 Turbo帶來256匹馬力

    首款量產911 Turbo搭載3.0公升引擎，從靜止加速至100公里／小時只需5.4秒。7

    996轉向水冷

    隨著排放法規日益嚴格，迫使引擎設計從根本重新思考，第五代也從氣冷改採水冷。2

    第一百萬輛911披上Irish Green

    五月，一輛Irish Green車色的991 Carrera S駛出Zuffenhausen工廠，成為第一百萬輛911。它隨後展開全球巡迴，最後入藏Porsche Museum。2

    Carrera GTS首度導入T-Hybrid
