La storia

Nel 2016 la sorella coupé della Boxster adottò i quattro cilindri turbo per offrire più coppia e consumare meno. Il loro sound fu accolto da aspre critiche; in seguito la GTS 4.0 aggiunse un sei cilindri aspirato da 4,0 litri.123

    La 718 Cayman debutta a Pechino

    La sorella coupé della Boxster debutta con un quattro cilindri turbo da 2,0 litri e 380 Nm; la S da 2,5 litri aggiunge la geometria variabile della turbina e arriva a 420 Nm.12

    La GTS spinge più forte il turbo da 2,5 litri

    La GTS da 2,5 litri eroga 360 CV e monta di serie PASM, Sport Chrono e differenziale autobloccante meccanico.14

  3. 2019

    La GT4 riporta in scena il sei cilindri boxer

    Un sei cilindri aspirato da 4,0 litri della famiglia Carrera eroga 414 CV, abbinato a un telaio GT completo e fino al 50% in più di deportanza senza maggiore resistenza aerodinamica.56

  4. 2020

    Arriva la GTS 4.0 aspirata

    Un sei cilindri da 4,0 litri imparentato con quello della GT4 eroga 394 CV; di serie cambio manuale a sei marce, Sport Chrono e sospensioni sportive PASM ribassate di 20 mm.3

  5. 2021

    GT4 RS: motore GT3, 9.000 giri/min

    La prima Cayman RS debutta con 493 CV erogati da un sei cilindri da 4,0 litri derivato dalla GT3, prese d’aria nei finestrini posteriori laterali e solo cambio PDK a sette marce.17

  6. 2022

    La Style Edition sfoggia Ruby Star Neo

    Annunciata in Europa per l’inizio del 2023, la Style Edition propone la tinta Ruby Star Neo, cerchi Spyder da 20 pollici di serie e pacchetti di contrasto neri o bianchi a richiesta.8

    7:03.121 con il Manthey Kit

    Gli aggiornamenti aerodinamici e al telaio omologati per la strada aiutano la GT4 RS a girare sul Nordschleife da 20,8 km in 7:03.121, con un vantaggio di 6.179 secondi sulla vettura di serie.9

    Termina la produzione della 982

    Nel 2025 Porsche interrompe la produzione della 718 Cayman, mettendo fine ai nove anni di carriera della generazione 982.510
