    Ferdinand K. Piëch abbozza un motore 18 cilindri su una busta, a bordo dello Shinkansen tra Tokyo e Nagoya.3

    La Veyron di Kabaň prende forma a Tokyo

    Il concept EB 18/4 Veyron definisce le linee essenziali dell’auto di produzione, con Jozef Kabaň al lavoro insieme a Hartmut Warkuß.3

    Schreiber affronta la sfida della versione stradale

    Thomas Bscher assume la guida del progetto; al direttore tecnico Wolfgang Schreiber spetta il compito di portare la Veyron su strada.4

    A Molsheim comincia l’era dei 400 km/h

    L’Atelier avvia la produzione a settembre. Una chiave speciale sblocca velocità superiori a 400 km/h; tre modalità di altezza da terra e un freno aerodinamico posteriore gestiscono i flussi.4

  5. 2007

    La Pur Sang va esaurita in 45 minuti

    Il direttore del design Achim Anscheidt trasforma la struttura in carbonio e alluminio della Veyron nella sua finitura: niente vernice. Tutte e cinque le Pur Sang trovano acquirente a Francoforte.5

  6. 2008

    Un quarto di miglio in 10.1 secondi per la coupé

    La Veyron 16.4 scatta da 0 a 60 mph in 2.5 s, si ferma da 112.7 km/h in 48.2 m e raggiunge 1.00 g sul skidpad.2

    431.072 km/h nelle due direzioni

    Pierre Henri Raphanel percorre il tracciato con la Super Sport in entrambi i sensi e stabilisce il record per un’auto di produzione. Cinque World Record Edition nere e arancioni celebrano l’impresa.156

    Anthony Liu stabilisce il record a tetto aperto della Vitesse. Guinness conferma anche il primato della Super Sport, stabilendo che disattivare il limitatore è consentito.178

    La Finale conclude la produzione di 450 esemplari

    La Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale debutta a Ginevra come Veyron numero 450. Per la prima volta compare il carbonio rosso a vista.9
