Die Geschichte

1925 eingeführt, um den Silver Ghost zu ersetzen, begann Phantom als Fahrgestell für individuell in Auftrag gegebene Karosserien. Zum hundertjährigen Jubiläum 2025 hatten acht Generationen den Namen an der Spitze der Rolls-Royce-Modellpalette getragen.12

    Der New Phantom löst den Silver Ghost ab

    Ein neuer Reihensechszylinder mit obenliegenden Ventilen ersetzt den Seitenventilmotor des Silver Ghost; die Besitzer lassen ihre Karosserien individuell anfertigen.2

  2. 1936

    Phantom III bringt V12-Power

    Der Phantom III führt einen V12 und eine Einzelradaufhängung vorn ein. Die Leistung steigt von 120 hp im Phantom II auf 165 hp.1

  3. 1950

    18 Reihenahtzylinder für den Hochadel

    Der Phantom IV kombiniert einen Reihenahtzylinder mit außergewöhnlicher Exklusivität: Von 1950 bis 1956 entstehen nur 18 Exemplare, ausschließlich für Königshäuser und Staatsoberhäupter.3

  4. 1998

    BMW kauft den Namen Rolls-Royce

    BMW erwirbt im Juli den Namen Rolls-Royce und startet damit das Projekt für ein neues Auto und ein neues Werk.4

    Goodwoods erster Phantom VII

    Mit dem Phantom VII beginnt die Goodwood-Ära: Er bietet eine Spaceframe-Karosserie und ist das erste komplette Auto, das vollständig im eigenen Werk gebaut wird.15

  6. 2012

    Phantom VII bekommt acht Gänge

    Die Series II bringt eine Achtgangautomatik, Voll-LED-Scheinwerfer und ein neues Differenzial; der kombinierte Kraftstoffverbrauch sinkt um 10%.67

  7. 2017

    Phantom VIII erhält ein neues Grundgerüst

    Mit dem Phantom VIII debütiert die Architecture of Luxury. Dazu kommen Rolls-Royces erste Allradlenkung und eine vorausschauende Luftfederung, die die Straße scannt.18

  8. 2022

    Die Series II startet mit Phantom Platino

    Die Series II der achten Generation erhält einen beleuchteten Kühlergrill. Phantom Platino setzt zum Marktstart auf Leder vorn und Stoff im Fond.9

  9. 2025

    100 Jahre, 25 Centenary Phantoms

    Die 25 Fahrzeuge umfassende Phantom Centenary Private Collection feiert 100 Jahre mit Spirit of Ecstasy-Maskottchen aus massivem Gold und Fondtextilien mit 160,000 Stichen.10

    Die Series II ersetzt die runden unteren Leuchten durch schmale Lichtleisten und führt Voll-LED-Scheinwerfer ein.6711

  4. 2017 (VIII)

    Beim VIII ist der Kühlergrill in die Karosserie integriert; die Scheinwerfer und Rückleuchten fallen vergleichsweise klein aus.81119

  5. 2023 model year (VIII)

    Die Series II ergänzt eine polierte Leiste über dem Kühlergrill, eine Grillbeleuchtung und Scheinwerfereinfassungen im Sternenmuster.8911
