How to spot one

Look for

  • J10: a side crease climbs from behind the front wheel arches into the rear lamps.322
  • J10: a sloping roof, small tailgate spoiler and upswept triangular rear side window.322
  • J11: V-shaped grille and boomerang LED light signatures.312
  • J12 at launch: broad chrome V-motion grille and slim lights with boomerang LED running lights.39
  • 2024 facelift: glossy black comma shapes fill the grille, inspired by Japanese armor.10

Year by year

  1. 2010

New hood, bumper, fenders, grille and headlights; rear lamps gained 12 LEDs and clear upper lenses, plus new 16/17-inch five-spoke wheels.23

  2. 2010

Reworked main dials frame a white LCD trip-computer display, a useful cabin clue to the facelift.23

  3. 2017

New V-motion grille, darker rear lamps with extended boomerang LEDs, and a shark-fin antenna on navigation-equipped cars.16

  4. 2017

A new D-shaped steering wheel with a flat lower rim replaces the earlier design across all grades.16

  5. 2024

A scale-pattern grille of glossy black commas, running lights around the headlights and clear rear lenses with four red elements identify the refresh.10

  6. 2024

N-Design and Tekna+ add Alcantara to the dash and doors; infotainment gains Google built-in with Google Maps.10

Don’t confuse it with

  • Nissan Juke

The Juke resembles the Qashqai Mk3 but has the smaller body.8

  • Nissan X-Trail

The X-Trail Mk3 resembles the Qashqai Mk2 but is larger, with a longer wheelbase.24
