How to spot one

Look for

  • Shark-nose front intakes recall the Ferrari 156 Grand Prix car.14
  • Four separate, partly exposed rear lights echo the Enzo.13
  • The model name is etched into the driver's side mirror.5
  • Red intake plenums show through the glass engine cover on standard cars.3
  • Finned rear undertray beneath a small tail spoiler.4

Year by year

  1. 2008

Carbon-ceramic brakes, recognizable by larger calipers, became standard; they had been optional on earlier cars.310

  2. From assembly 74556

Inspection cue: the lambda sensor moved from the catalytic-converter joint to the manifold center; many early cars were retrofitted.10

  3. From 61589 F1 / 61701 manual

Inspection cue: early pumps are silver, later pumps black. Early cars may have been retrofitted.10

Don’t confuse it with

  • 360 Modena

Shared roof and doors, but the F430 has shark-nose intakes and partially exposed Enzo-style rear lights.1314
