The story

Built to replace the F430, the 458 (F142) wrapped its 9,000-rpm V8 in Donato Coco and Pininfarina bodywork. It would be Ferrari's last naturally aspirated mid-engine V8 family.12

    The Frankfurt debut brought movable front and rear aero and a 90 kg weight saving over the 458 Italia.245

    Speciale A: 499 Aperta convertibles

    The 597-hp open-top Speciale debuted in Paris. Aperta means open; its folding roof and stiffening measures added 50 kg over the coupe.26
