  2. 2021

44 hp and 230 km at launch

    Dacia's first EV launches with 44 hp, a 27.4 kWh pack (26.8 kWh usable), 230 km WLTP and a 19.1-second 0–100 km/h time.167

  3. 2021

117.6 km with 4% battery left

    A 2021 Spring motorway test records 23.4 kWh/100 km; charging from 4 to 100% then takes 75 minutes.7

  4. 2021

    One star in Euro NCAP

The original Spring scores one star; frontal tests find poor protection for the driver's chest and the rear passenger's head.89

  5. 2023

    100,000 orders; Electric 65 arrives

Extreme's 64 hp cuts 0–100 km/h to 13.7 seconds; WLTP drops from 230 to 220 km as consumption rises from 13.9 to 14.52 kWh/100 km. Orders pass 100,000.61011

  6. 2023

February's redesign follows over 140,000 worldwide registrations. UK orders open with October deliveries expected; arrival comes late in the year.151213

  8. 2025

70/100 motors and the LFP switch

After over 179,000 European sales by June, October's update brings 70/100 motors, a 24.3 kWh LFP pack and optional 40 kW DC: 20–80% in 29 minutes.514

  9. 2026

    Second generation moves to Slovenia

Unveiled in September after over 210,000 sales, the second generation moves to Novo Mesto, Slovenia, with a 27.5 kWh LFP pack and up to 250 km WLTP.15

How to spot one

Look for

  • First generation: tall, narrow city-car proportions with plastic cladding around each wheel arch.51222
  • 2024 facelift: Y-shaped lighting details flank the grille, with black paneling across the rear.12
  • Second generation: black trim strips connect the headlights and the taillights.15
  • Second generation: a patterned black band visually separates the roof from the body.15

Year by year

  1. Late 2022

A Dacia Link grille and white inserts replace the earlier chrome treatment; the tailgate lettering also changes.520

  2. 2022 update

The charging flap changes from upward-opening to side-hinged.20

  3. 2023 Extreme

Extreme gains copper mirror caps and roof-rail details, plus topographic graphics on the doors.10

  4. 2024 facelift

Y-shaped lighting details and black rear paneling arrive; the previous roof and glass remain.612

  5. 2026, second generation

The all-new body grows 18 cm wider and adds a patterned black strip between roof and body.15

Don’t confuse it with

  • Renault City K-ZE / Renault Kwid E-Tech

Dacia-specific styling details distinguish the first-generation Spring; later cars have a Dacia Link grille.4620

  • Dongfeng Nano Box

A close relative with its own front-end plastics; check for the later Spring's Dacia Link grille.420

  • Venucia e30

Its nose follows the original petrol Kwid design; the later Spring uses the Dacia Link grille.420
