The story

Launched as a standalone model in 2012, the XV recast the Impreza hatchback for an Urban Adventure brief: city use with a taller stance. It was originally conceived as a smaller SUV for Europe.^2,3,4

The XV concept appeared at Auto Shanghai; the production XV followed at Frankfurt with 1.6/2.0 L gas boxers and a 2.0 L boxer diesel.^4,5
