How to spot one

Look for

  • Ordinary early cars have a chrome-edged slatted grille between sharply shaped headlights.4
  • The rear panel is metal, contrasting with the up!'s black-glass rear.3
  • Three-door cars have larger rear side windows than the up!.19
  • The electric version has five doors.10
  • The electric version's redesigned front end is its main exterior powertrain clue.10

Year by year

  1. 2017 facelift

A new hood, bumpers, fog lights and grille distinguish the later front end.7

  2. 2017 facelift

LED daytime lights and dark-framed tail lights became standard from Ambition, with Active offering both as options.7

  3. 2017 colors

Kiwi Green replaced metallic Spring Green.7

  4. 2019–2020 electric

The five-door electric model brought a redesigned front end while retaining much of the gasoline car's appearance.1012

  5. 2011–2012

The launch car had three doors; a five-door body joined in 2012.3

Don’t confuse it with

  • Volkswagen up!

Look for the Citigo's metal rear panel instead of black glass, plus larger rear side windows on three-door cars.31619

  • SEAT Mii

The Citigo wears a Škoda winged-arrow badge; ordinary early cars also have a chrome-edged slatted grille.4516
