The story

Peugeot built the 207 to move 206 owners upmarket. It was 20 cm longer than the 206 and offered hatchback, SW estate and CC convertible bodies.345

    June brings a 175 hp GTi with a 1.6-liter turbo engine shared with the Mini Cooper S, driving through a five-speed manual.256

How to spot one

Look for

  • Flared wheelarches with sharply creased outlines.317
  • SW: rear glass can lift independently of the tailgate.14
  • CC: raked windshield and a short, clipped tail.15
  • GTI: a spoiler perched on the tailgate.2
  • Facelift hatchbacks and CCs have rear lamps with visible LED panels.15

    A smaller grille, revised front lights and new fog-lamp housings soften the nose; exterior trim uses more body color and chrome.15
