The story

  1. 2018

    Development begins alongside the 499P

Planning for the F80 starts in parallel with the 499P endurance racer, tying the road car's development to the racing program.5

  2. 2024

    October 17: F80 breaks cover

The unveiling brings a V6 hybrid, stirring complaints about its engine sound and cylinder count.146

  3. 2024

    799 allocations already spoken for

A growing collector base leads to a 799-car cap. All sell out; eligibility requires a substantial Ferrari collection and the company's favor.789

  4. 2024

    Ferrari's first electric turbochargers

Motors between each turbine and compressor sharpen low-rpm response. The 800 V hybrid offers no electric-only driving mode.46

  5. 2024

    1:15.3 at Fiorano

A claimed road-car benchmark at Ferrari's test track puts the F80 4.4 seconds ahead of LaFerrari.1011

  6. 2025

    Production starts; deliveries targeted

Production starts in 2025. First deliveries were targeted for late 2025; the 2026 model was listed for Q1 2026 sale.1912

    Hamilton and Leclerc take Fiorano

Ferrari shares a Fiorano drive with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the F80.13

  8. 2025

Gaming debut in The Crew Motorfest

The F80 makes its video-game debut in The Crew Motorfest's Season 7, with in-game shop availability from July 9.14

  9. 2027

    Build run expected to end

The F80 is expected to finish production in 2027; the 2027 model carries over unchanged.115

How to spot one

Look for

  • Headlights hide inside a black visor across the front.3
  • Flattened front fenders stick out like shields.5
  • Butterfly doors lift up and outward, taking part of the roof with them.412
  • Engine-cover slots number six, matching the V6's cylinders.7
  • The rear wing can rise 200 mm and automatically change its angle.2

Year by year

  1. 2026–2027

Exterior carries over unchanged; exposed carbon and body-color roofs are specification choices.41517

Don’t confuse it with

  • Ferrari 12Cilindri

Shared black nose band; the F80 has a six-slot engine cover behind the cabin, while the 12Cilindri carries its engine up front.1715

  • Ferrari Daytona SP3

For the F80, check the flat, projecting front fenders, six engine-cover slots and rear wing that rises and changes angle.1257
