The story

Created for families with bulky loads, the Dokker uses the Lodgy's underpinnings to keep prices down. The five-seat passenger version offers an 800-liter trunk, expanding to 3,000 liters with its rear bench folded.123

    Casablanca debut, then Moroccan sales

    A May world premiere at Auto Expo Casablanca leads to Moroccan sales in late June, with production at the new Tangier plant.2

    TCe 115 adds a 1.2-liter turbo

    The 2013 model year adds a turbocharged gasoline choice: the 1.2-liter TCe 115, making about 113 hp.4

    Embleme adds Panache alloys

    Belgium and Luxembourg gain the Embleme limited edition, with 16-inch Panache alloys, dark rear glass, Media Nav and cruise control.5

    Euro 6 and standard stop/start

    The Euro 6 range includes the 1.6 SCe 100 and makes stop/start standard. Trim choices shrink to Dokker, Silver Line and Stepway.6

    Facelift adds a four-spoke wheel

    April deliveries bring a revised grille, a four-spoke wheel with the horn built in, and an optional rear camera on Stepway.7

    Blue dCi 75/95 adopts SCR and AdBlue

    The 1.5-liter diesel switches to Blue dCi 75 and 95 versions; SCR exhaust treatment uses AdBlue to cut nitrogen oxides.8

  7. 2019

    Four-cylinder 1.3 TCe 100 and 130

    The 1.3 TCe 130 replaces the 1.2 TCe 115; a detuned version of the same four-cylinder 1.3-liter engine joins as the TCe 100.9

  8. 2020

    France drops Dokker and Stepway

    By October, both Dokker and Stepway have left the French catalog, although the model remains on sale elsewhere in Europe.10

  9. 2021

    Production ends; Express takes over

    Dacia Dokker production ends. In Europe, the Renault Express takes over in spring, using the same platform.1112

How to spot one

Look for

  • High roof, steep side walls and an almost vertical rear end.4
  • One or two rear sliding doors; the exterior guide rail remains visible.224
  • Asymmetric rear barn doors, with the left door wider than the right.17
  • Vertical taillamps sit high beside the rear barn doors.16
  • Passenger versions have rear side glass and a rear bench; the Van replaces rear glass with painted metal.1317
