L’histoire

Honda a développé la Civic de 1972 alors que son activité automobile risquait de disparaître. La crise pétrolière a stimulé la demande pour cette voiture sobre ; la CVCC a ensuite satisfait aux normes antipollution américaines de 1975 sans catalyseur.134

    The oil crisis steered buyers toward economy cars. In December, Japan gained the 1,500 cc four-door Civic CVCC.45

    L’EPA homologue la Civic CVCC de 1975

    Les essais de novembre ont validé ses émissions, avec un bonus : la Civic CVCC a obtenu le meilleur classement de l’EPA en matière de consommation.5

    Marysville lance la production de Civic

    La production nord-américaine de Civic a débuté à Marysville, dans l’Ohio, ouvrant une aventure industrielle qui dépassera les 9 millions de voitures en 2015.6
