The story

Younger clients wanted a Rolls-Royce for life off the beaten track. The Cullinan became its first all-wheel-drive car, took its name from the largest gem-quality rough diamond and sits between Ghost and Phantom.24

How to spot one

Look for

  • Boxy SUV proportions with a long, high hood and a large grille.1420
  • The Spirit of Ecstasy mascot stands at the front edge of the hood.20
  • Rear doors hinge at the back, leaving their handles near the front edge.1420
  • Thick stainless-steel trim runs from the rear pillar's base over the doors to the front pillar.20
  • The rear glass meets a projecting tailgate lid; the tailgate opens in two sections.220

Year by year

  1. 2019 (Black Badge)

Black Badge introduces a black chrome mascot and 22-inch forged wheels with gear-like graphics.1

  2. 2025 (Series II)

Slimmer headlights gain L-shaped DRLs extending downward; the grille lights up and its outer uprights become body-colored.91617

  3. 2025 (Series II)

Two fresh 23-inch wheel designs arrive; Black Badge changes to interwoven forged spokes.91617

  4. 2025 (Series II)

Rear bumper trim exposes larger exhaust openings, while the pipes inside stay unchanged.916

  5. 2025 (Series II)

A full-width glass dash gains Spirit software and a lit clock cabinet with a miniature Spirit of Ecstasy.916

Don’t confuse it with

  • Rolls-Royce Phantom

The grille and headlights share the family look; the Cullinan's tall SUV body and split tailgate separate it from the Phantom sedan.41320
