How to spot one

Look for

  • Fastback sedans have a sloping roof and a large rear hatch.1
  • Second generation: front fender air outlets sit just behind the front wheels.5
  • Second generation: four-point LED daytime lights sit inside the headlights.5
  • Second generation: a slim LED strip links the rear lamps.5
  • Third generation: an extra horizontal air intake sits above the front license plate.1017

Year by year

  1. 2014 facelift

Reworked front and rear bumpers and newly optional full-LED headlights distinguish the facelift.4

  2. 2014 facelift

Rear glass became flatter and larger, taillight outlines straighter, and the rear bumper gained a larger unpainted section.4

  3. 2017 redesign

Roof sits 20 mm lower at the rear; four-point LED headlights and a narrow rear light bar mark the new shape.514

  4. 2017 redesign

Console buttons give way to touch controls; digital displays flank a central analog tachometer.14

  5. 2021 facelift

Sport Design nose has a single-bar light; Turbo S gets wider-set twin lights. Rear strip flows into reshaped LED lamps.915

  6. 2024 third generation

Adds an intake above the front plate and flush-edged rear glass; the gear selector moves beside the steering wheel.10

Don’t confuse it with

  • Porsche 911

The Panamera adds four passenger doors and a hatchback body to a similar Porsche profile; the 911 has two doors.3
