The story

Built for MINI owners needing more space, the 2010 Countryman added four doors and optional ALL4. That system's electromagnetic center differential could send up to 50% of drive rearward in normal conditions.123

How to spot one

Look for

  • Original body: high window line, thick lower-body edging and strongly flared wheel arches.12
  • F60: asymmetric headlights flank a hexagonal grille, with upright rear lamps at the back.15
  • F60 plug-in hybrid: yellow S badges and a charging flap in the left front side trim.15
  • U25: an octagonal grille, clean body surfaces and a distinctive C-pillar.18

  1. 2014 R60 facelift

    S/SD gain a chrome grille bar and red S; JCW gets a red bar with its logo. Other versions use two grille bars.14

  2. 2014 R60 facelift

    LED fog lamps with ring-shaped daytime lights arrive; new colors include Jungle Green, Midnight Grey and Starlight Blue.14

  3. 2017 F60

    Asymmetric headlights, satin-aluminum roof rails and silver sill tops mark the second-generation body.15

  4. October 2018 F60

    Classic, Sport and Exclusive trims arrive; Sport brings 18-inch wheels and a bodykit, while Classic uses 16- or 17-inch wheels.20

  5. 2020 F60 facelift

    Union Jack LED tail lamps, revised grille/bumpers and an optional 5-inch digital cockpit distinguish the facelift.17
