    Hanover debut, then an October launch

    Blending City and Titan, the W415 debuted in Hanover in September, launched in Europe in October and offered 74/89 hp diesels rated from 4.3 L/100 km.1356

  2. 2013

    Three stars become four

    After an April three-star Euro NCAP result, the Citan Kombi gained revised airbags and warning systems; November's reassessment awarded four stars.37

    Six-speed dual-clutch Tourer 112

    AdBlue-free Euro 6 diesels already offered 20 Nm more; the petrol Tourer 112 gained an optional six-speed dual-clutch automatic in June.89

    OM 608 adds AdBlue and six speeds

    Tourer diesels switched to OM 608 with AdBlue and a six-speed manual: up to 114 hp, 260 Nm and 4.6-4.8 L/100 km combined.10

    W420 replaces W415

    Revealed on August 25, the second Citan generation brought Panel Van and Tourer bodies on third-generation Renault Kangoo foundations.311

Look for

  • W415: oversized Mercedes star in the grille.323
  • W420 Tourer: large grille, prominent three-pointed star and LED daytime running lights.320
  • eCitan: the charging socket sits beneath the Mercedes star in the grille.1315

Year by year

  1. 2015

    Tourer gained optional roof glazing: two front panels and one rear panel.17

  2. Around 2016

    A conventional handbrake replaced the L-shaped lever; the cup holder and power socket also moved.8

  3. 2019

    Optional RED Design brought red stripes under the grille and on mirror housings, plus gray stripes below the sliding doors.10

  4. 2021

    The new W420 Tourer combines a large star grille and LED daytime lights with circular vents in the cabin.320

  5. 2023

    A nearly 5 m long Tourer joined, with 83 cm-wide sliding-door openings and an optional third row for seven seats.21

  6. 2024

    A 9.5-inch MBUX screen and touch-control steering wheel arrived across the range; eCitan Tourer added a seven-seat long version.13
