    カリフォルニアの海岸沿いの町にちなんで名付けられたMalibuは、セダン、ハードトップ、コンバーチブル、ワゴンをそろえる上級Chevelleシリーズとして登場しました。1

    Z16：375 hp、限定200台

    Z16は375 hpの396 V8を搭載。通常生産は200台で、コンバーチブルが存在したという噂を裏付ける公開資料は、今も見つかっていません。16

    小型化したMalibuがChevelleに代わる

    小型化したMalibuは230–450 kg軽くなり、クーペ、セダン、ワゴンを設定。A-bodyプラットフォームは1982–1983年にG-bodyへ移行しました。1

    前輪駆動で復活し、Car of the Yearを受賞
