The story

Conceived as Jaguar's return to two-seat sports cars, the original F-Type united Ian Callum's C-X16-inspired design with an aluminum chassis joined by rivets and adhesive.^1,2,3

Look for

Coupe: a long hood, low roof and tapering cabin sit between broad rear haunches.⁵
Flush door handles pop out for use.¹²
Original V6s have two central exhaust tips; the V8 uses a pair at each side.⁴
Original front ends have split shark-gill intakes beside the grille.^5,10
